Dr.
Waranch is a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland and
he is listed in the National Register of Health Care Providers.
He is an assistant professor in Medical Psychology at Johns Hopkins
Medical Institutions and a consultant in neurology at Sinai Hospital.
He is the author/co-author of a number of research articles and
book chapters on topics such as the behavioral treatment of pediatric
headache, relaxation treatment of irritable bowel disorder stress
management and the behavioral treatment of tics associated with
Tourette Syndrome.
Dr.
Waranch received his Ph.D. in psychology from Northeastern University
in 1974 and from 1979-1992 was the Co-Director of the Behavioral
Medicine and Biofeedback Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He specializes
in the use of behavioral techniques such as biofeedback, relaxation
training, behavioral modification and cognitive-behavior therapy
for the treatment of headaches and chronic pain.
